A nerve racking, hard fought vintage fraught by an early bud burst, heavy rain until June pushing humidity high and then no rain until September when fortunately it came good just in time to create a high quality, concentrated vintage. 
 
This classic right bank style Bordeaux blend was destemmed before allowing full primary fermentation on the skins before racking ahead of malolactic fermentation. The wine was then transferred into barrels where it was racked twice more over the 18 month aging process in 100% new oak 500L barrels. 
With aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries and dark cherry with warm spices from the barrel inviting you into a full bodied, dry wine with fresh acidity and medium plus fine tannins. The round and juicy black fruit
stretches into black pepper and dried leaves for a long finish, with an elegant touch of roasted coffee.
 
It’s drinking very well now, but will easily age for another 10-15 years. 
 
Serve at room temperature after allowing the wine to breath.
