What if Bordeaux didn't have strict rules or rigid traditions - just grapes and passionate artisans? We're here because of our land's potential to redefine what Bordeaux wine can be.

We deconsecrated our vineyard from Bordeaux Supérieur in order to release us from the AOC wine style rules.
The vineyard is in one block around the winery and house, directly next to the massive Dordogne River. Our proximity to the river is the largest influence on our terroir and the resulting wine.

Shuette is 12ha in total with 4.5ha under plantation.

​

We grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot.

This year, we will plant Chenin Blanc and Souvignier Gris (PiWi), defying regional norms to embrace climate change and sustainable, disease-resistant viticulture.

The vines are worked by hand from pruning to harvest.

Of course, we dry-farm and manage our inter-row planting carefully, focusing on regenerative succession: aerators like rye grass, nitrogen-fixers like peas, and a huge number of flowering plants.

Finally, we lacto-ferment herbs and plants into teas that can be used to boost plant immunity or create naturally inhospitable environments for unwanted insects.​

We do not add anything, apply heat/cold, or mechanically filter. Just 100% fruit and handling choices to create characterful cuvées.
