The practical and legal terms that apply when you buy wine, goods or a private tour from Château Shuette.
Effective 19 September 2026

Secure online payment in euros through Stripe.
WINE DELIVERY
€10 gross for 1–5 bottles. Free from 6 bottles.
GOODS RETURNS
A 14-day statutory withdrawal period applies where the law provides it.
01
SCOPE AND ACCEPTANCE.
These terms govern consumer use of this website and online purchases of products and private tour bookings from Château Shuette SAS. Trade and other business-to-business orders are subject to separate written terms.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have legal capacity to contract, that the information you provide is accurate and that you accept the version of these terms shown at checkout. The terms in force on the order date apply to that order.
You must be at least 18 years old to order alcohol. You must also meet any higher minimum age that applies in the delivery country. Alcohol must be received by an adult legally permitted to receive it.

03
PRODUCTS AND AVAILABILITY.
We describe products as accurately as reasonably possible. Screen colours, label presentation and packaging may vary slightly from the item delivered. Vintage variation, sediment, cloudiness and other characteristics inherent to low-intervention wine are not by themselves defects. This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is damaged, faulty or not as described.
Products and vintages remain subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after ordering, we will contact you and offer a suitable solution or refund the affected item. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.
04
PRICES, TAX AND BORDER CHARGES.
Prices are stated in euros. Product pages initially show the French consumer price, including French VAT where applicable. At checkout, tax is recalculated according to the delivery country. The final product total, applicable tax and delivery charge are shown before you pay.
For deliveries that attract import VAT, excise duty, customs duty, customs-clearance costs, carrier administration charges or similar destination charges, those amounts are payable by the recipient unless the checkout expressly states that a specific charge is included. Château Shuette does not absorb or reimburse destination taxes, duties or related charges.
If an obvious pricing or tax error is identified before dispatch, we will contact you. We will never increase an accepted total without your agreement; you may cancel for a full refund instead.
05
ORDERS AND PAYMENT.
To order, select the products or experience, provide the requested customer and delivery details, review the final total, accept the applicable terms and submit payment. An order becomes binding when payment is authorised and we issue the order or booking confirmation.
Online payment is processed in euros by Stripe. Available card or wallet options are those displayed in the Stripe payment interface. Château Shuette does not store full payment-card details.
We may refuse or cancel an order where payment fails, stock is unavailable, information appears fraudulent, delivery would be unlawful or impossible, or there is an obvious pricing error. Any amount already taken for a cancelled order will be refunded.
06
DELIVERY OF GOODS.
We deliver only to destinations offered at checkout and may use specialist wine-logistics partners. You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate and accessible delivery address and for ensuring that an eligible adult can receive alcohol.
WINE DELIVERY CHARGE
1–5 bottles: €10 gross.
6 bottles or more: free.
The charge for a 1–5 bottle wine order will never be reduced below €10.
Any different delivery charge for non-wine products is shown before payment. Delivery estimates are shown during checkout or in the order confirmation. Unless another period is agreed, goods will be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded.
If delivery fails because the address is wrong, incomplete or no eligible recipient is available, reasonable redelivery or return costs may be charged. Risk passes to you or your nominated recipient when the goods are physically received.
07
WITHDRAWAL AND GOODS RETURNS.
Consumers normally have 14 days from receipt of goods to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason. For an order delivered in several parts, the period runs from receipt of the final item.
To exercise this right, email contact@shuette.com with an unambiguous withdrawal statement or use the model form below. You must then return the goods to Château Shuette at the address in section 2 within 14 days of notifying us.
- You bear the direct return cost unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrect.
- For a full valid withdrawal, we refund the relevant purchase price and the standard outbound delivery charge. Extra delivery upgrades are not refundable.
- Refunds are made through the original payment method within 14 days of withdrawal notice, although we may wait until the goods are received or you provide evidence of return.
- You are responsible for any loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods. Opened bottles cannot normally be resold and may have no remaining resale value.
The statutory right does not apply where a legal exception applies, including clearly personalised goods, goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, or sealed health or hygiene goods unsealed after delivery.
08
DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT GOODS.
Check the parcel promptly. If it arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, contact contact@shuette.com with the order number and clear photographs. Reporting transit damage within 48 hours helps us pursue the carrier, but a later report does not remove mandatory statutory rights.
Consumers benefit from the French legal guarantee of conformity and the legal guarantee against hidden defects. Depending on the circumstances, the available remedy may include replacement, price reduction, repair where appropriate, or refund. Nothing in these terms limits those mandatory protections.
09
TOURS AND TASTINGS.
Tour bookings are private experiences on the date and at the start time selected. A booking is confirmed when Stripe payment succeeds and the confirmation is issued. Prices shown at booking include applicable tax.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before the booked start time for a refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time and no-shows are non-refundable, except where mandatory law requires otherwise or we expressly agree.
- If Château Shuette cancels, you may choose a reasonable alternative date or a full refund.
- The statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to leisure services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period.
Most of the experience takes place outside. Guests should dress for the forecast and follow reasonable safety instructions. Tell us about accessibility requirements, dietary restrictions, children, larger groups or other adaptations before booking where the booking page asks you to contact us.
Wine is served only to adults. Non-drinkers and children must remain supervised. We may refuse service or end an experience where conduct is unsafe, abusive or seriously disruptive. Guests remain responsible for arranging safe onward transport and must not drive after drinking.
10
ACCOUNTS, DATA AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping login details confidential and for activity carried out through it. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Personal data is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law. Payment data is handled by Stripe as payment processor.
Site text, photography, illustrations, labels, logos and other content belong to Château Shuette or its licensors. They may not be copied, republished or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where law permits.
11
RESPONSIBILITY AND FORCE MAJEURE.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Château Shuette remains responsible for foreseeable direct loss caused by its breach. We are not responsible for business losses arising from a consumer order.
We are not liable for delay or non-performance caused by an event outside reasonable control, including severe weather, fire, flood, industrial action, transport disruption, government action or carrier restrictions. We will contact affected customers and take reasonable steps to reduce the impact.
12
COMPLAINTS AND CONSUMER MEDIATION.
Send complaints to contact@shuette.com or by post to the address in section 2. Include the order or booking reference and enough detail for us to investigate.
APPOINTED CONSUMER MEDIATOR
CM2C, Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice
49 Rue de Ponthieu
75008 Paris, France
After first making a written complaint to Château Shuette, an eligible consumer may refer an unresolved dispute to CM2C free of charge, subject to CM2C’s admissibility rules. The request must be made within one year of the consumer’s written complaint to Château Shuette.
13
GOVERNING LAW AND CHANGES.
These terms and contracts formed under them are governed by French law. If you live in another country, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection granted by the law of your habitual residence. Courts have jurisdiction under the rules that apply to the dispute; these terms do not impose an unlawful exclusive forum on consumers.
We may update these terms for future orders. Changes do not retrospectively alter an accepted order. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
14

Use this form only if you wish to withdraw from an eligible purchase of goods. You may copy it into an email to contact@shuette.com.
