Atelier is our new home for limited edition items.
Over time, it will grow to include a wide range of products: a single-barrel aged brandy, umeshu, jams, red wine vinegar and other small-batch creations made with produce from our land. It is a celebration of everything we grow at Shuette, and of our love for artisanal, honest food and drink.
We wanted these products to feel contemporary while staying rooted in our land. We settled on photographs I have taken of sunrises and sunsets around Shuette, transformed into abstract art.
We launch with six pieces
FARRA
Sunset at the end of harvest, seen from our riverbank above the Dordogne. The sky blazed deep orange and purple, and seemed to burn with extra intensity that evening, as if fighting off the night for just a little longer.

REIVE
A sunrise over our vineyard in the middle of the growing season. Low, rolling fog swamped the vines while the early light split into vibrant pink and orange. It was a promise of the hazy, hot days that lay ahead that year.

MELA
Our red harvest crates were already filling with ripe Merlot as the sun came up on a truly beautiful day. We lost our entire Merlot harvest the previous year, so bringing in these grapes felt especially meaningful.

ERGILE
A sunrise over the beehives at the top of the vineyard. We tend several hives as part of our regenerative farming programme at Shuette. We visit them in the early morning, before the hive wakes, so it isn’t only the honey that greets us with a golden glow.

ARUN
We start picking at 06:30, and it always feels magical to begin the day with the warmth of the sun on your face and the promise of the harvest ahead.

SOMA
Looking over the Merlot vines in January of our first year. The vines were bare, and a pheasant was pecking around for insects as we experienced a dramatic red sunrise.

A new edition of Renegades
To celebrate the launch of Atelier and these new artworks, we are creating limited edition labels for each of our Renegades wines. Each still wine is sealed with warm cream wax, and the pét-nat bottles are crowned with a silver cap.
The first bottles will be available at No Bar Wine Bar in Bangkok, Thailand.
